Your Sacred Healing Path
Welcome to your Sacred Healing Path. This program will guide you on your path to understanding your body where it is right now, understanding your healing path, and how to put into practice a lifestyle that will help you heal. You deserve to live a life that you desire; a life of joy, love, true connection both to your higher self and to the world around you.
This program is for you if you are in physical pain, if you need help with connecting with your true nature, if you want to be healthier but just don't know where to start.
We will cover the physical body, the chemical body, and the spiritual-emotional body. All must be addressed for true healing to happen.
This program allows you to take the path at your own pace. I encourage a "lean-in" approach when making changes and growing. With that being said, growth and change are uncomfortable at first. Keep your eye on the gains you have made, not what you aren't yet. You can heal, and you can reconnect to your highest self.
My Sacred Healing Path
My journey into the wellness world started in 2003 when I graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in health and wellness. After graduation I worked at a medical fitness center helping people transition from medical rehab (physical and cardiac) to the post-rehab programs in the gym. I planned and coordinated the aquatic post-rehab and fitness programs. It was here that I started to realize that our "health" system is really a mess. I watched people struggling to be healthy AFTER they became sick, injured, or needed surgery. It was unbelievably difficult to help them, and most of the time they became caught in the cycle of sickness and medication. There was no time, finances or room for a healthy lifestyle.
I decided I needed to find a profession that: 1) had the authority to diagnose, refer, and serve as a primary portal of entry in the medical system; 2) had a vitalistic philosophy (also known as holistic-body parts are interconnected) instead of mechanistic (viewing the body as separate parts making a whole-if it's not broke don't fix).
This is when I visited a chiropractor for the first time. He helped me so much, but he also helped me understand the philosophy behind the adjustment. It is to allow the body's intelligence to heal as a whole instead of attempting to "fix a part". I was blown away...fast forward 7 years and I am a chiropractor. Over the years my additional training has included sports medicine, nutritional, pre/post-natal care, stressed out mommy care, pediatric care, and craniosacral therapy.
Since becoming a chiropractor I have been on a big journey of self discovery, adulthood, motherhood, and mental health crisis leading to massive spiritual growth. I have watched my patients, colleagues, family, and friends succumb to the effects of extreme mental stress. Something has to change. I am now using all of my knowledge, tools and skills to bring a holistic approach to a lifestyle that allows healing from stress and trauma.
